About the Resort

Featuring three styles of bungalow, with 69 in total, L’Escapade is mainly known for their overwater bungalows, which float above the shimmering blue water like a mirage in an oasis. What says paradise more than diving off your private terrace into the water below? But there’s more to the resort than that, of course! Located within a 200 hectare natural reserve, some of the locals who frequent the resort are a local species of sea turtle! The resort also boasts an outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, bar, room service and a variety of equipment for rent to participate in the variety of water sports on offer.

Beach Bungalow
Feel the sand between your toes when you step out of your comfortable Beach Bungalow. The floor-to-ceiling bay windows overlook the white sand beach, allowing tropical paradise to permeate ever view and all your senses! With air conditioning, ceiling fans, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and separate lounge area, any beach lover can easily picture themselves here. Overwater Bungalow
The spacious and area overwater bungalows feature an undisturbed view of the lagoon with the natural reserve in the background. With separate lounge and sleeping areas decorated in local timber, a private terrace with steps leading directly into the amazingly blue water, free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, tea and coffee making facilities and a bathtub to relax in after a hard day of swimming with the fishes, it might just be impossible to leave! This room is 55m2 & sleeps up to 2 guests.

Located southwest of the mainland in the secluded serenity of Ilot Maitre, L’Escapade Island Resort is accessed by water taxi (20 minutes) from Anse Vata.

Things To Do

Immerse yourself in the extensive range of activities available to you around the L’Escapade Island Resort. Set within a 200-hectare natural reserve experience the beauty of mother nature at the stunning marine reserve where a local species of sea turtle are frequent visitors. Dive off your private terrace of your overwater bungalow into pristine waters of the Pacific and discover an oasis of colourful coral and tropical fish. Make use of the equipment available at the resort and hit the water with a paddleboard, canoe or jet ski. For a New Caledonian cultural experience pay a visit the Tjibaou Cultural Centre or go on an island cruise. Catch the 20-minute boat ride to the city of Noumea and visit the local restaurants and bars or check out the European retailers for French influenced boutiques. Or perhaps, simply do nothing but relax in the tropical paradise of your bungalow while sipping a pina colada and watching the marine life right below your feet.

We had a wonderful relaxing 3 days on this island and found the facilities excellent. Our over sea bungalows were perfect and it was like being in an aquarium with a wide variety of fish, turtles and the sea snakes. The food was fantastic – and staff so friendly and helpful.
